What Are They Up To Now: Ken Kristensen!
Written by Jonathan Waugh | No Comments | Published on September 5, 2019Darby Pop Publishing has had numerous up-and-coming writers and artists collaborating with us over the years. Each month, we’ll be highlighting the most recent work by one of these industry professionals who came through our doors on the way to making their comic book dreams come true.
Ken Kristensen took over scripting chores on Darby Pop’s flagship title, Indestructible, starting with Issue #5. More recently, and in addition to his comic book work, Ken’s been writing for hit TV series like The Punisher and Happy! — both of which are WELL worth checking out!
Kristensen’s credits run the gamut of what one can get up to in Tinseltown. In addition to series currently airing, Ken also has upcoming TV projects for Universal, as well as an untitled HBO crime drama based upon the works of Tony Hillerman. Unfortunately, Ken has been sworn to secrecy as of this writing, but if you’re a fan of his comic work, there are two new titles which we CAN talk about. And which should get you salivating.
From Scout Comics, Obliv18n was born out of Ken’s love for post-apocalyptic stories. Spinning the tale of a mysterious event that erases all authority figures and adults from Earth, replacing them with otherworldly creatures and alien technology, Obliv18n was clearly influenced by the stories Ken grew up reading and loving such as “Blood’s a Rover”by Harlan Ellison and Lord of the Flies by William Golding, as well as the Planet of the Apes and Mad Max movies.” The first collected edition is available from right now!
How should this drug be stored You should keep your tablets 20mg in their blister pack until used and store in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30 C. Pomegranate is a useful fruit which can cure the problem of erection. Autoimmune Disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Celiac Disease, Myasthenia Gravis. Breast feeding mothers are also instructed to reveal their situations at the time of taking clinical advice.
Fairy Godbrothers, on the other hand, takes a “buddy comedy” look at the works of the Brothers Grimm. It follows two siblings who are whisked away to a land of magic and mayhem at the exact moment when they are supposed to sell their family ice cream stand to a national chain. But, these fairy tales aren’t like the ones you read as a kid.. As Ken points out: “if you go back to the original 1812 texts, they are really brutally violent, racist, and pretty sexual.”
