Each month, we’ll be highlighting the most recent work by one of these industry professionals who passed through our doors on the way to making their sequential storytelling dreams come true.
Brandon McKinney is well known to those in the Darby Pop fold. As the artist for Doberman, Bruce Lee: The Dragon Rises, and Bruce Lee: The Walk Of The Dragon, McKinney has managed to rack-up comic book credits all while enjoying a multi-decade career on numerous animated series including the just released Harley Quinn (available on the DC Universe streaming service). And for you completists out there, we can finally reveal that Brandon storyboarded and directed the episodes “Being Harley Quinn,” “Finding Mr. Right,” and “Til Death Do Us Part”. (You’re welcome.)
Over the years, Brandon worked in the art department of the classic series Batman Beyond, boarded on both Transformers: Prime and Transformers: Robots in Disguise, and – more recently – has lent his formidable talents to projects as varied as The Venture Bros, Scooby-Doo & Guess Who?, The Death and Return of Superman, and Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
