Adam Beechen’s work with Darby Pop helped make Bruce Lee: The Dragon Rises our best-sellling title to-date; Adam wrote Issues #3 and #4. But, Adam is also a well-regarded writer/producer in the world of TV animation. In fact, Adam and Darby Pop founder Jeff Kline have worked together on multiple series over the years — most recently Cartoon Network’s Transformers: Robots in Disguise. And more recently, Adam got to play in the world of Jurassic Park, serving as the Executive Producer and Story Editor for the Lego Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nubar miniseries, which airs next month on Nickelodeon.
Adam explains that the experience has “been fun, educational, and challenging,… working with both Lego and the filmmakers at Universal behind the Jurassic franchise.” Since there’s an established timeline within the Jurassic World films, there were some restrictions placed on the stories Adam and his team could tell. However, Adam sees this as a positive, as it forced the writers “to really push themselves to come up with cool ideas using the tools at hand.” And all that hard work is paying off; Adam is extremely proud of the series, and calls it “fast, exciting, unpredictable, and very, very funny.”
