Brett Harris
Writer: Women of Darby Pop
Brett was an award winning journalist and editor in college while majoring in Pre-Law but eventually passed on both the journalism and legal routes when he realized he didn’t love the law so much as he loved David Kelley’s writing. He went on to pursue comic book and television script writing and after many years toiling away as a self described “do-it-yourselfer,” Brett’s stories for the independent digital series Adventures in Pulp Presents was named digital comic of the year by pipedreamcomics.co.uk (and are available at Comixology with all proceeds going to the artist). The anthology series included the four short stories: Dick Ruby and the Case of the Little Green Men, Hawk and a Handsaw, The Four Horsemen and Ashes of the Immortals. He has three television pilots attached to GloverzoneDL Pictures (Exodus 7, Atlantis Rising, and Jigsaw World. The latter of which was also going to be the basis on an abandoned four issue Adventures in Pulp Presents sequel). Brett is currently working on The Outer Worlds, an independent sci-fi comic with Conquest Art Design’s Ivan Castillo and will no doubt be pestering the editorial powers-that-be at Darby Pop to toss him another bone, so please say kind stuff about “Looking for Redemption with Blind Eyes.”
