Russell Brettholtz
Writer: Side-Kicked: Alienation, Side-Kicked
Russell Brettholtz started reading comic books at the age of eight, when his grandmother gave him an Archie. At twelve he graduated to the X-Men which he collected for over twenty years. Russell’s road to writing comics began with X-Men fan-fiction in high school and college, and finally a story submission to Marvel (it was not published). When he realized that finding an artist and self-publishing were realistic possibilities thanks to the internet, Russell put serious effort into creating his own comic book. Sidekicks is his first full length comic book with original characters. Russell lives in New York’s capital region with his wife and two daughters.
